The captain
About
Run by the owner
Honolulu Yacht Management is owned and run by Rich Riley, a USCG-licensed captain. The person who answers the phone is the person who walks your dock, writes your report, and stands under your hull at the yard.
The business does one thing: it keeps boats on Oʻahu ready to use. That means eyes on the boat every month, salt off the gelcoat, a clean bottom, systems that start, and one honest estimate when something needs a yard.
How I work
Every visit follows a checklist and ends with a photo report. You see what I saw, the day I saw it. If something is wrong, you hear about it by text before the report lands. No surprises on the invoice: plans bill on the 1st, one-time jobs are quoted first.
Where
Ala Wai, Keʻehi, Hawaiʻi Kai and Ko Olina. If your boat sits somewhere else on the island, ask — the answer is usually yes.
The home dock
The Ala Wai is the largest small-boat harbor in the state and the center of this work. From there the round covers Keʻehi, Hawaiʻi Kai and Ko Olina on a weekly rhythm.
